Overview

The primary role of the Marketing Web Strategist is to design, analyze, and assist in creating changes to web-based content to support and engage customers on their journey away from porn.
 
The person works closely with all members of the Marketing Team as well as cross-departmental teams, to optimize the customer journey, utilizing a variety of media channels, including websites and landing pages, streaming video, social media, and email marketing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, designing, writing, editing, consulting, research, and general organization of campaigns or initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Maps the value of our service to our market and adheres to a consistent verbal and visual brand standard in all promotional content, including the website.
  • Maintains a deep understanding of audience needs through listening to member feedback, surveys, and collaboration with Covenant Eyes Product Department and uses this knowledge to create content and experiences that address those needs.
  • Acts as a UX subject matter expert within the marketing department. Collaborates with UX designers, graphic designers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to execute promotional projects, maintain the website, and ensure all web content is on brand, visually appealing, and user centric.
  • Keeps up to date on product development and new product features so that this knowledge can be used on the website and through other promotional channels.
  • Owns the design, building, and optimization of the buying journey on the main website and on all landing pages with the goal of converting traffic/new visitors into customers or leads. This includes a steady program of testing and optimization.
  • Measures the effectiveness of the website by monitoring metrics and regularly reports on results to Marketing leadership.
  • Proactively engages in regular learning to maintain an ever-expanding, expert-level knowledge of the latest marketing trends, strategies, and tactics that impact Covenant Eyes.
  • Utilizes all Marketing project and task management tools, including but not limited to Trello, Confluence, and Jira. These tools are to be maintained complete and accurate with the status of work.
  • Follows all internal processes for productivity and project management, while also maintaining effective personal productivity practices.
  • Provides backup to Sales and Marketing Department team members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in area of specialty.
  • Minimum of 4 years of directly related experience designing, consulting, and organizing web campaigns or initiatives with a portfolio to demonstrate this experience.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience in one or more core design skills; UX design, interface design, information design, critical analysis, and concept development.
  • Familiar with analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4, HotJar, VWO, or similar analytics tools.
  • Possesses advanced skills in Figma or similar software.
  • Possesses basic working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Intermediate knowledge of WordPress & Unbounce, or similar software.
  • Familiar with collaboration tools such as Trello or Jira.
  • Whether working onsite at Global Headquarters in Owosso, MI, or remote, travel will be required. Must maintain a current, valid driver's license and personal automobile insurance. Remote employees must be willing and able to travel to Global Headquarters several times a year.
  • Most of your time will be spent at a desk using a phone, computer and monitor, and general office equipment. You may be required to reach with hands and arms; sit; stand; talk and hear; use your hands to finger, handle, or feel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Content Architecture and Information Architecture, especially Cross Channel IA is a plus.
  • Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, Shockwave, and JavaScript is a plus.
  • Certifications in Web Design, Digital Marketing, or a related field are a plus.
