Overview

A CE Systems Administrator is a technical, hands-on position who plans, coordinates and participates in all activities related to the design, development, documentation, implementation and ongoing support of enterprise information systems, and software applications, both internal and external. 

Responsibilities

  • Centralized management of software (e.g. antivirus, audio/video/web/conferencing, chat, directory, email, network drives, phone system, security system) 
  • Analyze business requirements to identify and implement technological solutions. 
  • Document and maintain policies and procedures, both for team use as well as employee-facing support articles 
  • Keep abreast of changes occurring in technology and the best approach for keeping systems current, and the best course and timing for software upgrades. 
  • Ensure appropriate IT services are configured, tested, and supported over the VPN for remote employees 
  • Troubleshoot performance issues. 
  • Participate in systems implementation projects. 
  • Instruct and train users in the use of systems and applications. 
  • Work both independently and in cross functional teams. 
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 
  • Three plus years of related experience
  • Knowledge of PC and Mac workstations and peripherals, iOS and Android devices, printers, copiers, IP desk phones 
  • Experience with the Microsoft business ecosystem (Windows Server (2016 or newer), Entra ID, Active Directory, Exchange Server Online, Microsoft 365) 
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to disseminate technical information to non-technical employees 
  • Device administration experience in group policy, MDM, asset & inventory management 
  • The majority of your time will be spent at a desk using a phone, computer and monitor, and general office equipment. You may be required to reach with hands and arms; sit; stand; talk and hear; use your hands to finger, handle, or feel.

  • Slack, Zoom, M365 administration 
  • Powershell, Bash, Git

  • ESXi, Proxmox, Apple Virtualization Framework, VDI 
  • Crowdstrike, Qualys
